Dundee United v Celtic, Saturday, 4pm
TV: Sky Sports Football
Getting spanked 0-9 when Celtic last travelled the 90 minutes north-east will be more than enough motivation for Dundee United here to try and get some revenge. The hosts are in decent form, losing just one of their last six fixtures but Celtic just keep marching on towards yet another title, winning 14 of their last 15 Premiership games. We’ve found four of the best value picks for a very meaty Bet Builder.
Both Teams to Score
Celtic have kept four clean sheets in a row but conceded in three of their last five away games in all competitions and in five of their last eight away Premiership encounters. The hosts, as mentioned above, will be very eager to put the ghosts of that 0-9 humiliation to bed by causing as many problems as they can for the visitors.
The hosts have scored 11 over their last six games and 12 over their last five at Tannadice Park and have themselves kept three clean sheets over those five. Celtic have netted 12 over their last five away league games and 10 over their last five on the road in all competitions. With those stats, Both Teams to Score gets the ball rolling here.
Kyogo Furuhashi to Score Anytime
Celtic’s Japanese star, Kyogo Furuhashi has been outstanding this season, scoring 17 league goals in 20 appearances with another three in domestic cup competitions. He’s got a great record against the hosts too scoring four over his four appearances. He’s netted five over his last five in a Celtic shirt, as well as four over his last five away Premiership games. He’s going to give the Terrors a nightmare here.
NEW TO PADDY POWER NEWS?
Kieran Freeman to be Shown a Card
Kieran Freeman has been Dundee United’s biggest troublemaker so far this season after collecting five yellow cards in his 13 appearances. He’s featured in four of the hosts last five home games and was booked in three of them, in the other one, against Kilmarnock, he scored the opening goal. He usually plays on the right side of midfield and, as such, one of his responsibilities will be trying to keep both Jota and Reo Hatate quiet. With the way he collects Yellow Cards at Tannadice we can certainly see him getting penciled into the referee’s book here.
Celtic -2 (Handicap Betting)
As mentioned above we’ve made a good case for the hosts to get one but that’s about as much as they’re going to get. Celtic are really scoring for fun of late, notching up 15 over their last five fixtures and 12 over their last five Premiership games on the road. On recent visits to Tannadice they’ve scored at least three goals in three of their last five visits so we can take them at -2 on the handicaps market here.
